Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday advised the youth of the country, saying those who fear “failure or criticism” cannot achieve anything meaningful in life.

"The best advice for the youth of Pakistan: No one has ever achieved anything significant in life who fears failure or criticism," said the premier in a tweet.

He also shared a post of Theodore Roosevelt on his official Twitter handle, a former US president, who served from 1901 to 1909. Roosevelt was a prolific writer and an avid reader of poetry.

Reacting on the prime minister’s advice to the younger generation, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb said that Imran Khan incarcerated the entire opposition leadership and his opponents because he did not have the ability to take the criticism.

Addressing the premier, she said: “Had he [Imran Khan] tolerated the criticism against his government’s bad performance, the economy of the country would not have suffered a lot.”
