Robbers drive off with a 200kv transformer worth Rs450,000 from Dunga Gali without anyone noticing them

RAWALPINDI: Robbers drove off with a 200kv transformer worth Rs450,000 from Dunga Gali without anyone noticing them.

The armed robbers removed the bolts and hauled it on a pick up however, no policeman or citizen saw them. A local resident, Naimatullah informed the same police that owing to theft the area was without electricity.

Meanwhile, citizens were deprived of their valuables in different areas of garrison city.

Muhammad Faraz’s rickshaw was stolen from remits of Waris Khan police station while Muhammad Talha’s car was stolen in remits of Airport Police station.

Another car and two more motorcycles were stolen in precincts of Morgah and Wah Cantt police stations. Rasheed Ahmed told RA Bazaar Police that a pocket picker stole his wallet which had Rs5,000 and other important cards. However, he managed to get hold of him and the suspect was identified as Sudhair.

Muhammad Akhtar told Cantt police that robbers broke into his house and stole gold jewellery of his wife and mother.

Sadiqabad police were informed by Ata Mohammad that he parked his cement mixture machine outside his house at night which was missing in the morning.
