Punjab Human Rights minister attends interfaith dialogue
The provincial minister says that it is our moral duty to play a proactive role to promote a culture of peace
Punjab Minister for Human Rights and Minority Affairs Ijaz Alam Augustine attended a dialogue session on interfaith harmony at a private hotel on Saturday.
The session was organised by the Punjab Human Rights and Minority Department in collaboration with SPO. Human Rights and Minority Affairs Secretary Tariq Mahmood delivered the welcome speech and highlighted the services of the department for the promotion of peace in society.
He also highlighted the importance of creating ways and means for a peaceful society with interfaith harmony and peaceful coexistence and assured to organise more of such meetings. The provincial minister said that it is our moral duty to play a proactive role to promote a culture of peace and tolerance and it is the need of time to organise such dialogues to educate our citizens.
