DAPPS training aims capacity building

QUETTA: A four days training on Demographic Analysis and Population Projection Software (DAPPS) was concluded in Quetta on Friday.  Organised by Population Welfare Department in collaboration with the United Nations Fund for Population Activities (UNFPA), the training aimed to seek capacity -building in DAPPS to enable officers to project future Total Fertility Rate (TFR), Growth Rate and Life Expectancy at the district level. The officers from the Population Welfare Department and People’s Primary Healthcare Initiative (PPHI) will be able to count the current population gender-wise. The software will also project the future population along with age frequency.
