Understanding your body is the key to looking good and a trait found amongst all impeccably dressed fashionistas. While people shy away from talking about their bodies, these brave souls explain how they work their anatomies to their advantage

How would you describe your body type?

I have always been on the slimmer side (thanks mom!)

Has your body type changed over the last five years?

I’m lucky to have good genes! But I would say my body has changed a bit since I have had three kids in the last 10 years. But I do have a workout routine to keep myself fit.

How has your styled changed over the years?

I always get drawn to basic nude and black shades but I have gotten better at wearing more colour. I do go all out with accessories though.

In your opinion, what is your most troublesome area?

We all have areas that we want to improve, bodywise. For me, I would love to have those toned arms!

How do you dress your body according to your body type?

I know my body type and what I feel comfortable in. I would say most of my looks are a bit oversized. Because I’m on the slimmer side, I can pull off wearing oversized clothes effortlessly.

In your opinion what is the biggest mistake a person can make while dressing?

It’s important to be comfortable in what you are wearing, whether you are following trends or not.

Which silhouettes suit your body the most?

I’m good at changing it up, depending on my mood. I wear everything from fitted to loose fit; it depends on how I want it to feel on my body. Sometimes I go up one or two sizes if I want a looser fit.

What is the one piece of clothing that you shy away from wearing and why?

I really don’t shy away from wearing anything, I’m very confident style wise and I know what suits me and what does not. It’s important to know your body type and feel comfortable in it.
