Punjab Highway Patrol (PHP) arrested 62 culprits including nine proclaimed offenders and seized large amounts of liquor from their possession, during the last week. According to a police spokesperson, the teams conducted raids and arrested 62 outlaws including nine POs and seized 499 litres of liquor, 4.18 kilogrammes of marijuana, two guns, 22 pistols and 49 bullets from their possession. A PHP team apprehended two dacoits named Zakir Hussain and Haji Shahbaz and recovered fake currency worth Rs50,000 from them. Further investigation is underway.
