LAHORE: Justice Shahid Waheed of the Lahore High Court (LHC) declined to hear the petition of Mansha Bomb’s son. The plea challenged the Lahore Development Authority’s (LDA) ban on his entrance at its offices.

The LHC judge sent the file to the court of Justice Abid Aziz Shaikh where a contempt case of a similar nature was being heard.

Petitioner Tariq Mansha’s counsel told the court that LDA imposed an irrelevant and illegal ban on the entrance of his client to LDA offices. He requested the court that permission be granted for Tariq to enter the said offices.

He argued that his client had properties in Johar Town and had to visit the LDA office to get relevant documents. However, the LDA authorities banned his entrance. He said it was a prerequisite to enter the LDA office for the documents of the property. He, therefore, asked the court to set aside the LDA’s illegal ban.

In response, LDA’s counsel told the court that Justice Abid Aziz Shaikh was hearing a contempt case of similar nature. To this, Justice Shahid Waheed sent the case to Justice Abid Aziz Shaikh’s court for further proceedings.

Meanwhile, Justice Chaudhry Mushtaq Ahmad of LHC directed Factory Area police to produce a formerly abducted girl before the court by September 16.

Petitioner Shamim Mai’s lawyer told the court that her client’s daughter had married in 2014, but suspect Faraz Bloch, a resident of Walton, abducted the girl.

He said that an abduction case was registered with Factory Area police, but the cops did nothing to recover the victim.
