Pakistan workers confederation rallies in support of Kashmiris
Trade union president condemns reference against Justice Isa
QUETTA:
All Pakistan Workers Confederation Balochistan chapter on Sunday staged a rally protesting against atrocities of Narendra Modi’s government in Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK).
Trade unions President Mohammad Ramzan Achakzai led the rally crossing various streets of the provincial capital. The participants chanted slogans against the Indian government and Modi.
Achakzai said that “Indian Army suspended internet and phone connections along with a lockdown in the valley for the last 28 days. Instead of all the oppression of Kashmiris, Modi will not succeed in its evil plan.”
The president urged the United Nations and the international community to take immediate notice of Indian atrocities in Kashmir.
The workers also condemned the reference against Justice Qazi Faez Isa. Supporting the Supreme Court judge, the president said, “Justice Isa is the pride of Balochistan as he never compromises on the supremacy of law and justice, therefore, Federal Government should withdraw the reference against an honest judge of the province.”
Besides, the labour unions slammed economic policies of the Federal Government causing inflation and burden of taxes on the poor.
“The poor people are unable to afford bread due to rapid increase in the price of electricity, gas and petroleum,” said Achakzai.
Urging the government to fulfil its promises, the president said, “Prime Minister Imran Khan has vowed 10 million jobs and five million houses for poor but the government is focusing on anti-masses policies.”
