A technology company Hysab Kytab has partnered with Rescue 1299, a project by Commissioner Karachi as a part of starting their emergency platform, SirenApp which will be an integration of the app with Rescue 1299 by providing licenses for the mobile applications and web portals.

“Considering the prevailing situation in the metropolis, where even light rain can cause great havoc, an emergency platform like this is the need of the hour. In this progressive world, Pakistan is still playing catch up, therefore, we need to make the most of advanced technology to have a better place to live in,” said Iftikhar Shallwani, Commissioner Karachi.
SirenApp has a dual role as it will work with the authorities as well as the consumers. It will connect the user with the relevant authority at the time of an emergency. The app is not limited to just that will also help users connect with their friends and family when needed. The authorities will be able to streamline their processes and the consumer will be notified of every step they take.
“Realising [the] gap that exists in Pakistan, we at Hysab Kytab responded by developing a solution that utilises the state-of-the-art technology and makes the user experience seamless. This success story would provide the desirable boost that Siren needs in order to offer a solid emergency platform nationwide and globally to all the developing countries,” added Yasir Ilyas, Country Head, Hysab Kytab.
Lack of new technology turns the national economy obsolete
With this collaboration, the aim is to ‘help the helpers’ by incorporating the city’s concerned authorities in providing a prompt response in emergency situations through a single centralized source which will not only reduce panic but will also lessen the disastrous circumstances.
