Akbar Bugti case: Investigation team demands red arrest warrant against Musharraf

QUETTA: The investigation team in Nawab Akbar Bugti’s murder case will approach the federal government for arrest warrants against the accused. They have requested the government for the issuance of a red warrant against former President Pervez Musharraf.

The Chief Secretary Balochistan directed the investigating team for approaching the court to get arrest warrants of accused nominated in Nawab Akbar Bugti’s murder case.

The Chief Secretary Ahmed Bux Lehri issued the orders while chairing a meeting held in Quetta to review the progress in the investigation into Akbar Bugti's murder.

Former Governor of Balochistan Owais Ahmed Ghani is also nominated in the murder case.

The Chief Secretary also directed the authorities for collecting all evidences required in this connection.

He also directed the concerned officials to provide all necessary assistance to the high level investigating team formed by the provincial government.

issuing red warrants against musharaf would not make any major breakthrough..as mush: government's records say that bugti died due to the collapse of cave and not due to the deliberate murder attempt...anywy our criminal justice system is such a weak and inept that terrorists with real murder charges of hundreds are aquitted at the end of day..so musharaf has no chance of being punished...secondly people like bugti deserved what he had received...bugti's trial in the same way would ve aquitted him...

@Mirza: Bugti was on the run surrounded by his private army.The army went to talk to him, but he blew him self up like a suicide bomber killing himself and the army colonel sent to talk to him
