Rescue 1122: Promoting first aid measures

People should wait for medical professionals to handle the situation

DERA GHAZI KHAN:
Divisional emergency officer Rescue1122 Dr Natiq Hayat Ghilzai has issued a press release urging people who have been injured not to try and take out sharp edged weapons from any injured part of the body.  “People should wait for medical professionals to handle the situation,” he said. Ghilazi said that sharp weapons should only be removed immediately if they are constricting the victims breathing. The divisional emergency officer said that people from all sectors of life must acquire first aid skills to be able to help Rescue 1122 in the case of any emergency. He said that this was the first in a series of press releases to promote self administered first aid.
