LAHORE: Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar has said that let it be war or peace, the Kartarpur Corridor project will be completed before 550th birth anniversary of Baba Guru Nanak Devji in November.

He was addressing a news conference along with Special Advisor to the Prime Minister Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan on Saturday.

“Pakistan is committed to completing the project under any circumstances. If India imposes war on Pakistan, it will be the last war of the subcontinent, he added.

He said Prime Minister Imran Khan is fighting the case of Kashmiris all over the world as their ambassador. “India is a bigger terrorist than Israel inflicting atrocities on Kashmiris. Guns, bullets and curfew will not suppress the conviction of Kashmiris. Modi is an enemy of peace and humanity.”

It is high time that international human rights organisations, instead of turning a blind towards the issue, take notice of Indian atrocities on Kashmiris, he appealed. Sarwar said there is no doubt that Israel is inflicting atrocities on Palestinians but even there human rights organisations, parliamentarians and media are allowed to enter the disputed territory. “The terrorism of Modi’s government is worse than that of Israel who has turned Kashmir into an open-air prison. Neither are outsiders allowed to visit the area nor can Kashmiris leave their homes.”

This is the worst atrocity and terrorism of history and international organisations, including the UN should take immediate and strict notice, he appealed.

The governor reaffirmed that under the leadership of Imran Khan Pakistan is standing strong with Kashmiris and fighting Kashmir cause at every platform. The prime minister in his address at the United Nations will expose Modi’s real face in front of the world, who is more atrocious than Hitler and will pressurise the world to solve the Kashmir issue according to the resolutions of the UN. Undoubtedly, until unless the Kashmir issue gets solved, the establishment of peace in the region is impossible, he explained.

In regard to the Kartarpur Corridor, India is resisting since day one but despite all the hurdles Pakistan is working on the project, he said, adding that it will be completed before the 550th Birthday celebrations of Baba Guru Nanak Devji.

An International Sikh convention will be organised at the Governor House on August 31. “The event will be attended by members of the Sikh community coming from all over the world. I assure the visiting pilgrims that they will be provided with foolproof security in Pakistan and we will ensure the provision of other facilities.”
