PESHAWAR:

Khyber Medical University (KMU) Wednesday announced the entry test schedule for medical and dental colleges. Officials expect about 13,000 candidates to appear in the test this year.

The announcement was made in a meeting held at KMU Institute of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (IPMR).

Director Academics and Admission, Dr Shad Muhammad, said the entry test of all government and private medical and dental colleges will be held under the supervision of KMU on July 24.

He said that registrations will be open from July 7 till July 17 at IPMR and Ayub Medical College Abbottabad from 8am to 4pm, except on Sunday, July 10.

He added that while the test was not conducted earlier for private candidates, the Education Testing and Evaluation Agency has made it compulsory for them as well now. The registration forms cost Rs1,200 and can be had from Muslim Commercial Bank branches in Peshawar and Ayub Medical College in Abbottabad, he said.

“Since the F.Sc part-II results have not been announced yet, students having above 60 per cent marks in part-I will be eligible for taking the test,” he said, adding that four seats had been reserved for Afghan refugees, while eight seats were allocated for Afghan nationals.
