Islamia University of Bahawalpur Vice-Chancellor Dr Athar Mahboob has said that steps are being taken to make the varsity a shining institution at national and international level.

He expressed these views during a meeting with journalists at Baghdadul Jadeed Campus.


The syllabus will be restructured to make it compatible with modern needs. “Research benefiting society will be encouraged.” Excellence in both teaching and research will surely help to contribute to social and economic development, he added.

He further said that a multidimensional strategy is being devised to improve the performance of teaching and administrative departments, bringing sustainable results. “New disciplines will be introduced according to market demands and existing disciplines will be revised according to the needs of the current era to increase the job opportunities of our graduates.
