Sarfraz Shah case: SHO records statement in court

SHO says Deputy Superintendent called him to Rangers Headquarters, asked him to file case with officer as complainant.

KARACHI:
Station House Officer (SHO) Naseer Tanoli recorded his statement in the Sarfraz Shah killing case before the Anti-Terrorism Court in Karachi on Wednesday.

The SHO told the court that Deputy Superintendent Rangers Ali had called him at Rangers Headquarters after the incident and asked him to take a Rangers official and file the case with the officer as complainant.


He said Rangers Sub-inspector Bahaur Rehman had given him a pistol and bullets allegedly recovered from Sarfraz Shah.

The hearing has been adjourned till tomorrow.

Nineteen-year-old Sarfraz Shah was shot by Rangers in the Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Park on June 8. The incident was caught on videotape and broadcast on television channels nationwide.
