Four of a family shot dead over a marital dispute

The bodies were handed over to the brother of Jatoi after the postmortem

HYDERABAD: A couple and their two young sons were shot dead late on Friday night reportedly over some marital dispute in Larkana district. The incident happened in Yar Muhammad Colony in the limits of Waleed Police Station.

According to police, armed men entered the residence of Wali Muhammad Jatoi and sprayed him and his family with bullets. Jatoi, 55, his wife, Hajra, 50, and sons, Ali Murad, 31, and Nadeem, 27, sustained fatal gunshots and were declared dead when they were taken to the hospital. Another family member, Gulzar Jatoi, also sustained gunshot wounds and was injured.

The bodies were handed over to the brother of Jatoi after the postmortem. The incident's FIR has not been lodged so far. Fida Hussain Jatoi, brother of the deceased, accused Naseer Gadahi, Bhuro Gadahi and their associates for the murders. He claimed that Naseer, Bhuro and their accomplices entered his brother's home, shot his family dead and escaped. According to Fida, Gulzar is also in critical condition. Larkana DIG Irfan Baloch has reportedly formed an investigation team. No arrest could be made till Saturday evening.
