Water purifiers unavailable in Pindi

Leads to the spread of diseases due to use of contaminated water

RAWALPINDI: The Department of Health has not yet been able to supply potassium paramagnet locally called pinky especially for cleaning water from underwater tanks, underground tanks during the monsoon, which has led to the spread of diseases due to use of contaminated water. The Department of Health had been supplying the potassium paramagnet free of charge at home every year through Lady  Health Workers (LHWs) in monsoon,season  but this year their supply has not started yet. Lady Health Workers confirmed to the Express Tribune and told the Express that they have not been given these medicines yet. Whenever it is given, it will be delivered from house to house while the Health Department has said the chemical compound will be provided soon.
