Two killed, four injured in attack

MIRAN SHAH: At least two people were killed and four others were seriously injured when unidentified men opened fire at a function in the Dattakhel Tehsil of the North Waziristan tribal district late on Wednesday. Police told The Express Tribune over the phone, that locals had arranged a musical programme in connection with a wedding ceremony in Shaga area of Datta Khel. As the event was underway, two bike riders approached the event and opened fire using automatic weapons before fleeing. The attack left at least two people dead on the spot apart from injuring four others. The dead and the injured were rushed to the District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ) for treatment, the police said, adding that the injured were described to be in critical condition.
