“We should adopt Quaid’s principles like faith, unity and discipline to strengthen the institutions. Merit should be our priority,” the CJ maintained.
He expressed these views while addressing a flag-hoisting ceremony held at LHC premise in connection with 72nd Independence Day where several judges, court staff and other officials were present.
He vowed to accomplish the dream of the speedy and fair dispensation of justice.
“It is not only a statement but a promise he is making with the nation on this Independence Day hoping all judicial officers will be with us in accomplishing this task,” the CJ LHC maintained.
Being head of the judiciary of the province, CJ Sardar Shamim said all-out efforts would be taken for dispensing prompt and fair justice to the needy masses.

Drawing attention towards the sacrifices of Kashmiris, he said Kashmiris could not be forgotten today. “Ask the Kashmiris about the importance of independence who are sacrificing their lives in Indian-occupied Kashmir,” he said while praying for the independence of the disputed territory.
He also paid tribute to those who laid down their lives for the creation of Pakistan. “No other day brings this amount of happiness as this day has. Pakistan has a purpose and we should always be mindful of that.”
Punjab Assembly
Punjab Assembly Secretary Muhammad Khan Bhatti stressed the need for working hard in light of passion of Quad-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. “We want to see Pakistan as a developed country. Everyone should come forward and play the role to counter the enemies of Pakistan,” he said.
He expressed these views while addressing a flag-hoisting ceremony at the Punjab Assembly cafeteria where people from different walks of life, assembly’s senior officers attended the ceremony.
