11 unauthorised hide collectors arrested
Collectors did not have any requisite permission from the deputy commissioner

The Rawalpindi police have arrested as many as 11 people who were allegedly collecting hides from the city without any permission from the district administration, recovering 152 hides from them.
The suspects were arrested as part of an operation conducted by the Rawalpindi police against banned outfits in the city and those collecting hides without authorization.
The 11 suspects caught were booked in 10 cases.
Additionally, the police made stringent efforts to ensure security. Officials said that Eid congregations were held in 652 mosques, 67 Imam Bargahs, and 73 other open spaces.
Rawalpindi City Police Officer (CPO) DIG Faisal Rana said that they maintained a patrol on the roads and outside important places throughout the district to ensure security during Eidul Azha.
Rawalpindi Regional Police Officer (RPO) DIG Ehsan Tufail and the Rawalpindi CPO DIG Rana offered their Eid prayers at the Police Lines in Rawalpindi. Thereafter, DIG Rana supervised overall security arrangements in the city from his camp office.
He pointed out that Eidul Azha and Independence Days were key events and that they were doing their utmost to provide high security on the occasion.
Regarding celebrations on these days, he said that the police will attempt to prevent every unlawful action as per the law, adding that there was a bar on the display of arms and aerial firing.
He further added that in case any complaint is received regarding the display of arms or aerial firing within the jurisdiction of any police station, strict action will be taken against the SHO of that precinct.
