Arrangements for August 14 finalised

A gathering to pay tribute to the struggle of Kashmiris in Quetta

A high-level meeting under the chairmanship of Commissioner Quetta Usman Ali Khan was held to discuss the arrangements for public gathering and observing August 14 as Kashmir Solidarity Day.

MNAs Mubeen Khilji, Manzoor Kakar, Provincial Spokesperson Liaquat Shahwani, Principal Secretary Wazir Ali Noor, Amin Mengal, Special Assistant Arbab Zahir Kasi, Special Assistant to chief minister Bilal Kakar, Deputy Commissioner Tahir Zafar Abbasi, DIG Quetta Abdul Razzaq Cheema, SSP traffic, SSP operation, Anjuman Tajran-e-Quetta, members from PTI, ANP, BAP, JUI and other political and social entities were present on the occasion.

It was decided to hold a gathering to pay tribute to the struggle and sacrifices of Kashmiris on August 14 in Quetta. Members of public, political and religious parties, Anjuman-e-Tajran and civil administration officials will participate in the gathering to express solidarity with the people of Kashmir.


Strict security arrangements will be made, while police and FC troops will be deployed on routes of the public gatherings and rallies.

Pakistan and Kashmir flag will be hoisted on all government buildings while bazaars and intersections in the provincial capital will be adorned with banners and posters.

Foolproof traffic arrangements will be in place to avoid any mismanagement.

The religious and political parties and social welfare organizations have been appealed to actively participate in the gathering and rally to show the world that Pakistani nation stands shoulder to shoulder with their Kashmiri brothers in the just struggle for their right of self-determination.
