CS celebrates Eid with destitute children
CS said that it is the joint responsibility of all stakeholders in society to look after destitute children
LAHORE:
Punjab Chief Secretary Yousaf Naseem Khokhar, along with his family, visited Child Protection and Welfare Bureau (CPWB) to celebrate Eidul Azha with destitute children on Monday. He distributed Eid gifts among the children and reviewed educational and other facilities being provided to them.
Speaking on the occasion, the CS said that it is the joint responsibility of all stakeholders in society to look after destitute children. “These children deserve our time and care.”
He maintained that the objective to come to CPWB on Eidul Azha was to share happiness of the festival with neglected children. CPWB Chairperson Sara Ahmad and Lahore Deputy Commissioner Saleha Saeed were also present on the occasion. The next day, the CS visited the control room established by Local Government Department for monitoring of cleanliness on the occasion of Eidul Azha.
