CDA to launch smart highway project

CRIS will link up with Islamabad Highway & Kashmir Highway Green Wave Smart Signalling regimen

ISLAMABAD: Towards the development of smart highway project which is scheduled to be launched in Islamabad end of August, a presentation of Capital Roads Information System (CRIS App) was reviewed. CRIS will be linked up with Islamabad Highway and also with Kashmir Highway Green Wave Smart Signalling regimen. CDA Chairman Amer Ali Ahmed reviewed and finalised the prototype of an app which will be linked with smart highways and smart signalling. CRIS is likely to be linked with police, traffic police and Rescue 1122. Earlier, two months back CDA management had abandoned procurement of luxury jeeps for officers and focused funding on road safety and automation projects.
