Centre issues over Rs1b under MNA fund
MNAs of ruling party allotted Rs150 million each for development projects

The federal government has released more than Rs1 billion under MNAs development funds for Rawalpindi district.
Each MNA of the ruling party in Rawalpindi district has been given Rs150 million each for development projects in his respective constituency.
Federal Parliamentary Secretary Sheikh Rashid Shafiq told The Express Tribune that Rs1.5 have been issued by the federal government for development projects in Rawalpindi and added that tenders have also been issued as well. The projects would begin after Eid, he said.
Shafiq told that with the funds, five new tube wells would be installed in the city after which their count would be increased to 42. He said two overhead bridges at Gulzar-e-Qaid and Faisal Colony on Airport Road would be constructed while Rs10 million have been issued for a new auditorium in Dhok Elahi Girls Degree College.
