Tree plantation campaign launched in Bhakkar
Bhakkar Deputy Commissioner commits to a greener Pakistan

Similar to the rest of the province, the prime minister’s monsoon tree plantation campaign has also been launched in Bhakkar district. More than 0.3 million saplings will be planted in the district during the campaign.
Out of these, around 0.2 million will be planted by the forest department while district councils, municipal committees and union councils have been entrusted with the responsibility of planting 76,000 saplings.
Speaking to The Express Tribune Bhakkar Deputy Commissioner Asif Ali Farrukh stated that plans to meet the plantation campaign target have been finalised. The forest department and the administration of municipal organisations have been directed to complete the target for the monsoon tree plantation campaign with zeal and fervour. The basic objective of the tree plantation campaign is improving the environment and economic sustainability according to the government’s vision, he said.
