In a telephonic conversation with OIC Secretary General Dr Yousef Bin Ahmed Al Othaimeen, the foreign minister decried India's brutal use of force against innocent Kashmiris.
"India is violating international laws by subjecting Kashmiris to such serious human rights violations. These actions by New Delhi are highly condemnable," said FM Qureshi.
He told the OIC secretary general that New Delhi's orders for the expulsion of Hindu pilgrims and foreign tourists had made the situation all the more concerning.
Dr Al Othaimeen assured FM Qureshi that the OIC was closely monitoring the situation in Kashmir and would provide all-out cooperation on the matter.
Anxious tourists flee occupied Kashmir after 'terror' warning
Earlier, the foreign minister met Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister Farooq Haider Khan in Islamabad.
Both leaders condemned New Delhi's brutal use of force in occupied Kashmir and said India's use of cluster munitions along the Line of Control (LoC) was a clear violation of international laws.
Before meeting the AKJ premier, FM Qureshi held an emergency advisory meeting with former foreign secretaries.
The meeting attendees included Foreign Secretary Sohail Mahmood and other former foreign secretaries.
Discussions were focused on the deteriorating situation in Indian- occupied Kashmir and Pakistan's diplomatic options.
FM Qureshi stressed the need to highlight the increasingly alarming situation in IoK at all international forums. "India's human rights violation in Kashmir are a matter of concern for the entire global community. Through its actions in Kashmir, New Delhi is sabotaging peace and security of this entire region," he said.
The minister and secretaries formulated a strategy to highlight the matter at the international level. "The global community and international human rights organisations must take notice of India's atrocities against Kashmiris and must take action to stop them immediately," said Qureshi.
