Rs100b allocated to help unemployed youth start businesses
The government is striving hard to engage youth in various projects like Kamyab Jawan and Youth Empowerment Scheme
A total of Rs100 billion has been allocated for the youth loan programme in which unemployed youth will be given interest free loans to start their own businesses.
This was said by Special Advisor to the Prime Minister on youth Affairs Usman Dar while addressing a two-day workshop on “National Workshop on Incubator Management” started at the National University of Modern Languages (NUML) on Thursday. The workshop was jointly organised by Business Incubation Center of NUML (BICON), Higher Education Commission (HEC) and Idea-Gist.
Dar said that the government is striving hard to engage youth in various projects like Kamyab Jawan and Youth Empowerment Scheme (YES).

He added that Pakistan needs 1.7 million jobs every year to cater to the youth. Through the Kamyab Jawan programme, the government will utilise public private partnerships to create such opportunities to empower the youth.
