Wahab censures KE for its poor performance
Wahab blamed KE's decayed infrastructure for the loss of innocent lives in the metropolis
KARACHI:
In a statement on Wednesday, Barrister Murtaza Wahab, the adviser to Sindh chief minister on information, law and anti-corruption, said that the deaths of innocent people in Karachi due to electrocution were evidence of K-Electric's (KE) negligence.
Wahab blamed KE's decayed infrastructure for the loss of innocent lives in the metropolis. The adviser said that the incompetent administration of KE was making no attempts to mend its ways. He accused leaders of Muttahida Qaumi Movement - Pakistan (MQM-P) of never uttering a single word in their press conference against the incompetence and negligence of the administration of KE.
He said that by not censuring KE, the leaders of the MQM-P had in fact taunted the people of Karachi. He said that electricity to Karachi was being provided by KE and not Sindh government and everyone knew the role of MQM-P in the destruction of the KE. "Instead of shedding crocodile tears, MQM-P, which was a coalition partner of the PTI, should question the Centre," he said.
