Murder: Old family feud claims one life
the rival party have taken revenge for the triple murder by gunning down the younger brother of the accused.
HARIPUR:
A young man lost his life to an old family feud in the jurisdiction of Saddar Police Station here on Sunday night. The victim’s brother was accused of murdering three people from the same village two years back.
Police quoted Fazaldad of Pind Hasham Khan village as saying that his son, Malik Zakir, was returning to the family home on a Suzuki pickup after buying diesel fuel for the tractor, when at around 10 pm, three assailants opened fire at the vehicle killing him on the spot.
The complainant accused Fiaz Khan, Basharat Khan and Niaz of the murder in the FIR. The motive behind the murder was reported to be an old family feud, wherein Afzal, the elder brother of deceased, was directly charged in the FIR with the murder of three persons in 2009 in the same village.
However, at a jirga held with MPA Goher Nawaz Khan in the chair, the rival families agree to bring an end to the enmity and pardoned Afzal after the payment of cash compensation.
However, despite receiving compensation, the rival party seems to have taken revenge for the triple murder by gunning down the younger brother of the accused.
