KARACHI: Heer Maan Ja has just released its third track, Kuch Tou Hua Hai. It is a slowromantic number with vocals by debutant Rameez Khalid and the versatile Aima Baig. The music has been composed by Ahmed Ali, who has also done the background score for the upcoming film. The lyrics have been written by Kashaaf Iqbal.

The music video for Kuch Tou Hua Hai features the lead couple (Kabir) Ali Rehman Khan and (Heer) Hareem Farooq and the romance blossoming between them.

The film itself is a romantic-comedy, with the song depicting the beginning of a new love. Kuch Tou Hua Hai will leave listeners reminiscing about their first love and humming along to the memory.

However, visually, the video is not as pleasing. Despite doing numerous projects together, this is the first time Ali and Hareem are romancing on-screen and it won't be unjust to say they lack the sizzling chemistry required for such a romantic number.

Also, why is Hareem dressed like she is going to a mehendi while playing badminton or sitting in the classroom? Ali does not look like a college student, even with that mohawk. The film-makers have shot it at the beach as well, to add a romantic touch but has not all this been done already?

Nonetheless, Kuch Tou Hua Hai is a far better number from Heer Maan Ja. Other than the leads, the film also includes Faizan Sheikh, Mojiz Hasan and Shumayle Khattak in supporting roles.

Directed by Azfar Jafri and produced by Imran Raza Kazmi, Hareem Farooq and Arif Lakhani, Heer Maan Ja is set to release on Eidul Azha.
