K-P to support Langlands school
Chief Secretary assures that the provincial government will continue to support the institution, make it sustainable
PESHAWAR:
The provincial government on Monday decided to continue supporting a school in Chitral which had been led by Major Geoffrey Langlands. This was decided during an extra-ordinary high-level meeting to discuss the structural, governance and financial affairs of The Langlands School and College (formerly Sayurj School) in Chitral at the Pakhtunkhwa House in Islamabad. During the meeting, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Chief Secretary Saleem Khan was briefed about the problems the institution was facing. A discussion followed to streamline its affairs and ensure its sustainability while making it compatible with every quality education institution of the country. Chief Secretary Saleem assured that the provincial government will continue to support the institution and make it sustainable and enable it to contribute to the prosperity of the people of that area.
