Four of a family die as bus overturns near Thatta
Three children were among the victims; they were residents of Karachi’ Orangi Town area
Four members of a family, including three children, died and 20 others sustained injuries in a bus accident near Sindh’s Thatta district.
The accident occurred after the over-speeding bus overturned and fell in a ditch in Gujjar area, Express News reported on Sunday.
Soon after the accident, the victims were rushed to the Makli Civil Hospital. However, four of the critical injured were later transported to the Karachi’s Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC).
The deceased were identified as Raishma, 25, Asad, 5, Irfan, 6, and seven-year-old Afshan.
According to sources in rescue services, the passengers were residents of Orangi Town area in Karachi who first visited Hazrat Pir Pitthu Jameel’s shrine and later were heading to Keenjhar Lake for picnic and met the accident.
