Mango festival starts
Aim of the exhibition was to highlight the importance of Pakistani mangoes and increase and enhance its export
ISLAMABAD:
Seedless mangoes were displayed for the first time in Pakistan at three day mango festival underway at a mall in Islamabad with stalls of a different variety of mangoes. A number of foreign dignitaries, senior politicians, PGCL President Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan, PGCL Senior Vice President Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan and MNS Multan Agriculture University Vice Chancellor Dr Asif Ali were also present at the time of the inauguration on July 26. United Arab Emirates (UAE) Ambassador Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Salim Al-Zaabi and for Punjab Agriculture Minister Malik Nauman Ahmad Langrial inaugurated the festival at The Centaurus Mall. The basic aim of organising this exhibition was to highlight the importance of Pakistani mangoes and increase and enhance its export.
