No new taxes in upcoming Punjab budget: PML-N

PML-N  Information Secretary Ahsan Iqbal on Thursday said the Punjab Government will not impose any new tax in the upcoming provincial budget.


Speaking to media in Lahore, Ahsan Iqbal said development projects will be given priority in the upcoming budget, due to be presented on June 14, 2010.


He criticized the federal government for reducing the funds for Education and Higher Education commission in the national budget adding the government is choosing a confrontational approach by not implementing the apex court's verdict on the NRO.
