FAISALABAD: A labourer was electrocuted in the limits of Jhang Bazaar police station on Wednesday. Rescue 1122 spokesperson said that 30-year-old Habib, resident of Lohari chowk, Jhang Road was working in an under-construction house in Liaqatabad where he received a fatal electric shock and died on the spot before getting any medical assistance. The area police reached the spot and took the body into custody for further investigation.
In a separate incident, a young man committed suicide over a domestic dispute within the jurisdiction of Sadar Jaranwala police station. Police said that 22-year-old Faryad, resident of Chak No.61-GB consumed poisonous pills when his family members reprimanded him over a domestic dispute. He was shifted to hospital where he breathed his last.
