I wish there was an NGO to protect men's rights: Mohsin Abbas Haider
Actor on Wednesday was granted interim bail in domestic violence case
Actor-singer Mohsin Abbas, accused of domestic violence, was granted interim bail on Wednesday in Lahore.
A case was registered in Defence police station, Lahore over an application moved by the wife of the actor, accusing him of torture and abuse.
Haider appeared before the court of the additional session judge, Tajammul Shehzad. The actor, again rejecting the allegations leveled against him, said that torture allegation are baseless.
"Numerous times I tried to reconcile but failed. Now, they have come to the court, so now the decision will be taken here," said the artist. "Truth will be exposed in a few days."
He also claimed Sohail is conning everyone by saying she gave Haider Rs10 million and Rs5 million.
"I don't believe in taking even a single penny," he added.
He further queried why all NGOs only talk about women's rights and not men's rights.
"None of the NGOs have contacted us. I wish there was an NGO for men as well," Haider continued. "Why do NGOs talk about women rights only? The stance of a man should also be heard. The NGO should never side with the wrong one, be it man or woman."
He went on to add, "My wife Fatema has accused me of beating her, so should have gone to the hospital after being injured. Now, she will pay for my financial loss."
