Another MNA disqualified over fake degree

The election tribunal of the Lahore High Court disqualified PML-N MNA Syed Javed Hussnain for holding a fake degree.

The election tribunal of the Lahore High Court disqualified PML-N MNA Syed Javed Hussnain for holding a fake degree.

The MNA's bachelors degree was challenged in the Election Tribunal of LHC, headed by Nasir Saeed Sheikh.

The court disqualified Javed Hussnain after the degree was proven to be fake. Syed Javed Hussnain had been elected from NA-68 Sargodha, with more than 80,000 votes.

The court instructed for new elections to be held within two months in the same constituency.

Parliamentarians holding fake degrees has grown to become a serious issue in Pakistan with new cases of fake degrees being discovered many times in the recent past.

Upto my knowledge Javed Hasnain was a gentle politician and unfortunately his advisors were sycophant who advised him not to tender resignation. But, this is bitter reality that Javed Hasnain was not a graduate and he earned degree of some unknown seminary (Modarrsah).
