Special women can’t access hostels
Not a single woman with disabilities in the federal capital was living in government hostels
ISLAMABAD:
Women with disabilities are facing difficulties in accessing private female hostels and shelter homes, therefore, government should take steps for their accommodation, said social activist Zulqarnain Asghar.
Talking to the media, he said not a single woman with disabilities in the federal capital was living in government hostels. He said that despite paying hefty rents, working women with disabilities were bearing poor facilities like food, laundry, washrooms and security.
A Human Rights Ministry official said government may set up and maintain decent housing facilities for people with disabilities.
