ST worker convicted in murder case
The court sentences Umar Danny to life imprisonment and imposes a fine of Rs300,000
KARACHI:
District East model court convicted Muhammad Umar Danny, a worker of the Sunni Tehreek (ST), in the murder case of a Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) worker. Additional district and sessions judge, Justice Halim Ahmed, announced the verdict of Gul Sher’s murder on Tuesday. The court sentenced Danny to life imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs300,000. According to police, Gul Sher was killed in 2012 during a clash between the two parties over extortion.
