Aim to reduce violence against medical staff
ISLAMABAD:
Dr Zafar said that Bharosa Karen or trust us campaign was aimed at reducing incidents of violence against medical staff inside hospitals.
Speaking at the launch of Bharosa Karein drive of International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), he said 60 per cent incidents were reported in Sindh while 51 per cent were reported in KP. He added that public would be sensitised about such violent activities.
ICRC Head in Pakistan Deregana Kajik said that assault by relatives of patients on healthcare workers has become a dilemma in the society. She added that intrusion in work of medical staff was dangerous.
