A man killed his wife and son over a monetary dispute on Sunday.
RAWALPINDI:
A man killed his wife and son over a monetary dispute on Sunday. Muhammad Arif, a resident of People’s Colony, shot dead his wife, Shamim Bibi, and 23-year-old son, Shehryar.
Arif’s nephew, Waqar, registered an FIR with the police saying that Shehryar approached his father and demanded money from him. Arif refused, which resulted in an exchange of harsh words between the two.
Shamim, Shehryar’s step mother, interfered and asked them to settle the issue amicably. In his rage Arif took out a 12-bore gun and shot at Shamim and Arif, Waqar told police. Shehryar died on the spot while Shamim died en route to DHQ hospital.
The post-mortem report said Shamim and Arif received a bullet each to their chests. The police have registered a case.
