Supreme court: CJ constitutes two benches for next week

Benches to hear several important cases during he next week, starting from July 4.

ISLAMABAD:


The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry has constituted two benches at the principal seat to hear several important cases during he next week, starting from July 4.


The first bench will comprise of the chief justice himself, Justice Tassaduq Hussain Jillani and Justice Khilji Arif Hussain, while the second bench will consist of Justice Javed Iqbal and Justice Mian Shakirullah Jan, who will take up a number of pending cases.

According to cause lists, no application for adjournment recieved through fax will be placed before the Court. If the counsel is unable to appear before the court for any reason, the Advocate-on-Record will be required to argue the case on his behalf.
