Wife-stabber succumbs to injuries

LAHORE: A man who stabbed his wife to death over a domestic dispute in Baghbanpura died at a hospital on Tuesday.

Reportedly, Shahbaz had married Rabia. A few days ago, Rabia went to her parent’s home in Lakhoder. Shahbaz visited the home to try and persuade her to return. However, the couple had a heated exchanged and did not reconcile their differences.

Consequently, Shahbaz stabbed his wife, killing her in the process. During the attack, his son also sustained injuries.

Meanwhile, locals gathered on the spot and intervened. They physically assaulted Shahbaz before handing him over to the police. Shahbaz died as a result of his injuries on Tuesday. Police said that they were investigating the matter further.
