High flood expected in Jhelum River

Tributaries of Chenab River, including Palku, Aik and Bhimber likely to see medium flood

ISLAMABAD:
The Federal Flood Commission (FFC) has warned of high flood in Jhelum Rives due to heavy rains in the catchment areas upstream of Mangla from July 16-19. The local nullahs of Ravi River, including Hasri, Bein, Basanter, Ujh, Jhajri, Kather and Deg are expected to see medium flood, according to daily report of FFC. Meanwhile the tributaries of Chenab River, including Palku, Aik and Bhimber too were likely to see medium flood whereas falsh floods were expected down the hills in DG Khan Division the report warned.
