HARIPUR:
Navy frogmen and deep divers had no luck in fishing bodies of the Tarbela Lake boat capsize victims as a search operation continued for the 12th consecutive day on Sunday.

Rescue officials told The Express Tribune that divers of the Pakistan Navy had reached Tarbela Lake after the district administration wrote to them seeking their assistance in searching for the bodies. Previously, divers of the Rescue 1122 and the army had failed to find any bodies in the lake.

The Navy teams led a search operation around the site where the boat had sunk owing to a whirlpool. The employed modern equipment to search for the bodies, the source added.

They, however, limited their search to a two-kilometre radius based on line search and open search methods. Divers also searched other targeted areas of Barg. However, the surging water in the lake and low temperatures proved to be a hurdle in their efforts.
