LAHORE: A security guard, 40, who worked at a medicine market, was stabbed to death in New Anarkali on Sunday morning. The victim was identified as Ravi Khan. He was at his residential quarter when unidentified suspects attacked him with knives. He received fatal injuries and died on the spot. People in the neighbourhood called the police. On receiving information, a team reached the spot and shifted the body to a morgue.

In a separate incident, a 10-year-old boy was electrocuted in Factory Area on Sunday. The victim, identified as Abdullah, was a resident of Shahid Town, Ghazi Road.

Police said that he was electrocuted due to electric current in the transformer. The incident created panic in the locality as a large number of nearby people, including family and relatives of the victim gathered at the site. Investigations were underway. In another incident, a worker died while three were injured when a roof collapsed in Sher Shah Colony. The victims dealt in the animal feed business. On the day of the incident, the roof caved in when they were sitting under the roof after the rain. As a result, the victims received injuries and later on died.
