Japanese delegation evaluates SEF programme

KARACHI: A delegation from Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) visited the Sindh Education Foundation (SEF) as part of its terminal evaluation exercise. The aim of the visit was to observe the results that have been achieved in the Non-Formal Education (NFE) sector. SEF, being a stakeholder, shared details of its NFE intervention by the name of Adolescent and Adult Learning and Training Program (AALTP).

The meeting stressed upon areas where support is essential to ensure successes and on ground impact. The independent evaluator from Japan made note of the suggestions.

The meeting was followed by a visit of the delegation to AALTP centres being run by Sindh Madressa Board in Gadap and Malir on July 12. The delegation was headed by JICA Country Representative Furuta. It included Education Representative Nakamora, Chief Adviser Chiho Ohashi, Evaluator Hiroko Satito, Project Coordinator Kayoko Enomoto, Programme Specialists Muhammad Younus and Sajjad Haider, Deputy Chief Adviser Abid Gill and Provincial Coordinator Mehboob Elahi.

The delegation expressed their satisfaction over how NFE intervention is being implemented at the AALTP centres.
