A meeting was held on Thursday to review arrangements for cultural activities scheduled to be held during the coming week. The meeting was chaired by Lahore Arts Council Executive Director Athar Ali Khan at the Alhamra Art Centre. Addressing a briefing session to review art and culture related activities at the Committee Room, Ali said that the purpose of the meeting is to promote cultural activities at the Lahore Arts Council. He directed officials to ensure the best possible arrangements for ongoing projects including the 14th edition of Alhamra Live, a platform for talented musicians and vocalists, Hawa-e-Taza, performances by students at the Alhamra Academy of Performing Arts and a 12-day drawing workshop at Alhamra Cultural Complex Gaddafi Stadium. “We are optimistic and determined to make Alhamra one of the best places for all kinds of talent especially young and amateur artists and students who have just started to begin learning the arts professionally,” he said.
