Academia, industry join hands for education

Engaging industry leaders through academia-industry partnership programmes may increase the quality of education, experts said this at the University-Industry Partnership seminar held at FAST-National University of Computer & Emerging Sciences.

FAST-NU Rector Dr Ayub Ali emphasised the importance of applied research and extended support to industry.

The industry was represented by Dr Zhu Xilu Head of Big Data Centre Zong CMPak, Imran Ashraf CEO Telenor GSS, Brigadier (Retd) Pervaiz Aslam GM IT & Cyber Security NRTC, Soban Jalil Quality Leader Baker Hughes – General Electric, Abdul Aziz CEO Aurora Solution, Ali Iqbal GM Ignite, Sqn Ldr Umair AvRID PAC Kamra, Wahid President Zigron, Ziaur Rehman CEO CodesOrbit, Ather Imran CEO Sybrid, Ali Rizvi VP R&D and Haris Khan Director Engineering EMumba, Dr Samiud Din Director RAC NESCOM, Fahd Ahmed, CEO Synergy-IT, Fazal Rehman VP xFlow Research, Muhammad Aqeel Khan Chief Manager Bank Alfalah Limited, Illum Khan COO Evamp Sanga, Muhammad Tayyab Director Ciklum, Zain ul Hassan Khan Product Owner Elixir and many more representatives from the industry.
