HMC to present Rs2.92b budget
The budget, with a surplus of slightly over Rs600,000, will earmark Rs632.16 million for development projects

The Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (HMC) is set to table a Rs2.92 billion budget for the fiscal year 2019-20 in the budget session slated for July 10. Official sources informed that the budget, with a surplus of slightly over Rs600,000, will earmark Rs632.16 million for development projects while almost two-third of the budget, Rs1.82 billion will be spent on salaries. HMC expects to get Rs1.59 billion from the Sindh government under Octroi Zilla Tax while another sum of Rs360 million will be released by the latter as a special grant.
